Parents Become Parenting Partners

Congratulations to a dozen Pittman Elementary School parents who have graduated from the Parenting Partners Program! The parents, nearly all Spanish-speaking only mothers, participated in a special ceremony last week that fostered bonding among the parents and school leaders. Principal Adrienne Machado conducted the ceremony, in which parents said they had learned better basic parenting practices as well as how to better help their children succeed in school. Parenting Partners is offered in most SUSD elementary schools. Great work Pittman School!
